My Story

Hello and welcome. I am Ruth, a passionate goldsmith from Ireland. I live near the Mourne Mountains where I get most of my inspiration for my jewellery.  I love to be outdoors exploring, go kayaking and bivy under the stars. I am also an Archer and have represented GB and Ireland at several international competitions.

As I have mentioned, I am drawn to textures, shapes and patterns found in Irish landscapes as well as a love for researching ancient Irish jewellery and I take these fragments of beauty to create my designs and inform my work.

My commitment to excellence and authenticity is reflected in my choice of materials - only solid Silver and Gold and beautiful gemstones from a reputable source grace my bench peg.

To ensure the integrity of my work, I am proudly registered with the London Assay Office, guaranteeing the quality and purity of the metals used in my creations. By law in Ireland and the UK,  gold and silver over a certain weight has to be sent away to be tested and then hallmarked to give you the peace of mind you have purchased real precious metals.

Beyond the allure of my craft, sustainability is important to me, which is why I use 100% recycled precious metals as well as recycling the metal in my workshop, melting it down and rolling it to use again. I am also very conscience of the packaging I use and try to use eco friendly or recycled gift wrap and boxes.

Thank you for taking time to get to know me a little better. I invite you to explore my collections and find that perfect piece that resonates with you.

All my work is lovingly designed and made by me, using traditional goldsmithing skills at my bench from home, so you too can have a piece of Ireland.

with love,

Ruth
