BESPOKE & REMODELLING
At Ruth Gilmour Jewellery, I create bespoke pieces for clients worldwide. My process is simple and transparent, combining traditional goldsmithing techniques with sustainable practices. All the jewellery is handcrafted using recycled precious metals and ethical gemstones in my renewable energy-powered studio.
The process begins with a consultation to discuss your ideas and requirements. This can be done via email, phone, video call, or by visiting my studio. During this consultation, we'll explore your vision for a new piece or discuss how to transform your existing jewellery into something new.
After gathering all necessary information, I'll begin creating designs for you. This design phase typically takes 1-2 weeks, during which I'll work closely with you to ensure every detail meets your vision.
As an experienced goldsmith, I can source unique gemstones and precious materials based on your requirements, always ensuring they meet ethical standards.
Once you are happy with the design, a deposit will be required to begin crafting. The making process takes approximately 6-8 weeks. All work is undertaken by me personally in my studio, and I will happily provide progress images throughout the creation process.
When your piece is completed, you'll receive detailed images and information about your unique jewellery. After the final payment is received, your special piece will be carefully packaged in an eco-friendly presentation box/pouch and shipped securely to you, or you can arrange to collect it from my studio.
